Membership CHAPTER APPLICATION
MARATSA IS an affiliate Regional Chapter of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) for individuals who work and/or reside within the boundaries of Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia.
MEMBER BENEFITS INCLUDE:
Chapter membership is $30.00 annually.
Full Membership is available and enables the member to vote and run for any of the Board positions.

Description of Types of Membership
Current ATSA member (at any level) and am applying to be a MARATSA Full Member:
Persons who are members in good standing of ATSA may apply for Full Member Status.
ATSA Membership will be verified by the MARATSA Board of Directors at the time of
application. Full members may vote, hold an elected office and be appointed to serve as
Chair of a committee of MARATSA.
Not a current ATSA member and am applying to be a MARATSA Affiliate Member:
Persons who are currently working either in a related area (such as the treatment of
sexually abused children, adult victim/survivors of sexual abuse, or non-offending
spouses) or in a non-clinical capacity such as the criminal justice system may apply for
Affiliate Member Status. Affiliate members may NOT vote, hold an elected office or be
appointed to serve as Chair of a committee of MARATSA.
Persons applying for affiliate membership who are licensed or certified must submit
one Letter of Reference from a supervisor or colleague. If not licensed or certified,
applicant must submit two Letters of Reference. If licensed or certified a copy of the
license or certification must also be submitted.
NOT a current ATSA member and am applying to be a MARATSA Student Member:
Persons who are currently registered at least half-time in an accredited college or
university in pursuit of a career related to the study or treatment of sexually offending
behavior may apply for Student Member Status. Applicants must submit a copy of an
academic transcript for the highest degree obtained and verification of current student
status, if not reflected on transcript as well as one Letter of Recommendation from an
academic supervisor OR a current ATSA Student Member and am applying to be a MARATSA
Student Member.
As a voluntary membership organization, MARATSA does not credential its members or certify any
individual's fitness to provide services. MARATSA in their application review relies on self report for certain
membership criteria and MARATSA cannot be held responsible for any errors or misrepresentations.
MARATSA recommends that questions about a member's credentials be directed to the appropriate
professional licensing department or agency in the member's state or region.
